Reminder Monday is a public holiday, we will run one class at 8am. The gym will be open as usual for open gym access.
Strength program, it is highly encouraged to complete the Deadlift in your own time throughout the week during open gym.

2021 Team Challenge Week points System
We are super excited to be bringing you team challenge week for another year!!!
Please note there will be some changes to the structure of the point system and participation due to covid restrictions on class numbers. Please note due to class size restrictions and this year we will not have bring a friend during colour week.
This year you will only be able to allow 1 scheduled timetable class a day. For example if you attend the 5am class you can not attend another scheduled class that day. However!! A scheduled timetable class + Open gym attendance is encouraged for bonus points.
a) Winning a daily WOD challenge. This is the accumulation of points/reps/load in the days WODs .For example the total weight of all back squats within the day or total rounds in a metcon (Cindy)
b) Open gym bonus points to be completed outside of class times and or upstairs. (Must be completed at the gym CFC not at home or another gym) These will be daily programmed WODs that can be completed in open gym time to achieve extra points.
A completed open gym WOD = 20 points for example 2km Row = 20 points
ONLY PERMITTED TO ATTEND 1 OPEN GYM WOD PER DAY
OPEN GYM MEGA WOD bonus points = 50 points
ONLY PERMITTED TO ATTEND 1 OPEN GYM MEGA WOD PER DAY

Individual mega WOD winner! 200 points will go toward the team of both the male and female mega WOD winner
Please note there is also bonus points for achievements in open gym WODs
c) Mobility/recovery points!! Yes this year you can gain points with your mobility/recovery. (10 points)
How it works:
Perform min of 20min mobility either at the gym or at home
Post a pic on Insta and tag @crossfitcoorparoo and @gametimephysio #teamchallengeweekblue2021 with a brief description of what you did.

d) CrossFit Coorparoo Facebook Check in/team or individual pic at the gym 5 points (must be at the gym)
e) Insta or Facebook pic before or after a WOD or open gym session 5 points (must tag @crossfitcoorparoo and #teamchallengeweek your colour i.e #teamchallengeweekblue2020
Note: All pictures taken must support social distancing… you may need to get a little creative. -Stories do not count as they are unable to be tallied.
Deduction of points
f) Points can be deducted (DEDUCTION!!!) for interrupting the brief, POOR FORM, leaving equipment out, not cleaning chalk, MISSING A LIFT, late to class, , challenging the points deduction, back chat, being so competitive it becomes annoying, not supporting, encouraging or bringing the coaches a coffee 😉 etc etc

For the next 2 weeks we will be testing our 1RM lifts. We will be trialing a new strength program after testing. Therefore it is important you attend all the days the 1RM lifts are programmed. IF you miss a day pls aim to complete the 1RM test during open gym at a time that suits your schedule. More information on the new strength program coming soon.
We start another week of deload week. An opportunity to reduce intensity and load within our strength cycle.
